Welcome to the water...

Boating in Utrecht is something special. The centuries-old canals, the wharf cellars that almost touch the water, the green lining the quays – this is a city you only truly get to know from the boat.

For us as a family, boating has always been a moment of peace and happiness: drifting together, escaping the buzz of daily life, enjoying good conversation and laughter. A bite to eat, a drink, the setting sun – it turns any day into a good one. Out of that love for boating – and for our city – the idea was born. No business plan, no spreadsheet. Just a simple desire to share something beautiful.

We’re a small family that enjoys good moments with kind people – and we love Utrecht. So we decided to make our own boat available: Rebel Rebel, named after David Bowie. Not a product, but an extension of how we love to cruise on the canals ourselves: calmly, attentively, and together.

 

Despite the name Rebel Rebel, it's actually a silent, electric boat – equipped with a well-stocked cooler, kids’ life jackets, an online guide to explore the city from the water, and of course: a cheerful action photo of your group on the boat. And now, Talk Talk is ready too – for new little adventures. But it still doesn’t feel like we’re “renting boats.” We hope it’s something more than that.

It’s a little piece of ourselves that we get to lend out – so you can feel what we so often do: freedom, connection, and a few hours completely away from the day. We hope you have a wonderful time on the water, with each other. Maybe to laugh, talk, or just enjoy the silence for a while. That’s exactly what this is all about.
