We had an incredible experience renting a boat with Canal Cruising Utrecht. The fact that the boat is fully electric is a game-changer—it was incredibly quiet, allowing us to relax completely, chat without raising our voices, and truly enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the canals.
The service from the staff was absolutely flawless. From the easy booking to the warm welcome and helpful instructions before we set off, the team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a perfect day on the water. If you want to experience Utrecht from the water with top-tier service and a beautiful, quiet boat, this is definitely the place to go.

Renting from Canal Cruising Utrecht. The boat assistent was the absolute highlight of our time in the city. The electric boat was fantastic—so smooth and incredibly quiet, which made cruising down the canals feel like a luxury experience.
What really set them apart, though, was the service. The team was exceptionally welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. If you are looking to rent a boat in Utrecht, look no further! Canal Cruising Utrecht / Emma was absolutely spectacular. The boat was 100% electric and incredibly quiet, which made cruising down the beautiful canals so peaceful and relaxing.
The service from the staff was top-notch—they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived.
Everything was handled with a smile, making the whole experience completely stress-free. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. 10/5 stars if I could!

De mensen achter...
Varen in Utrecht is iets bijzonders. De eeuwenoude grachten, de werfkelders die bijna het water raken, het groen langs de kades en de sfeer langs de Oude Gracht – deze stad leer je pas echt kennen vanaf de boot.
Voor ons als gezin is varen altijd een moment van rust en geluk geweest: samen drijven, ontsnappen aan de hectiek van alledag, genieten van de rust. Een hapje eten, een drankje, de ondergaande zon – het maakt van elke dag een mooie dag.
Uit die liefde voor varen – en voor onze stad – is het idee ontstaan. Geen businessplan, geen spreadsheet. Gewoon een simpele wens om iets moois te delen.
We zijn een klein gezin dat geniet van fijne momenten met aardige mensen – en we zijn dol op Utrecht. Daarom besloten we onze eigen boot beschikbaar te stellen: Rebel Rebel, vernoemd naar David Bowie. Geen product, maar een verlengstuk van hoe we zelf graag door de grachten varen: rustig, aandachtig en samen.
Ondanks de naam Rebel Rebel is het eigenlijk een stille, elektrische boot – uitgerust met een goed gevulde koelbox, kinderzwemvesten, een online gids om de stad vanaf het water te verkennen en natuurlijk: een vrolijke actiefoto van je groep op de boot. En nu is Talk Talk er ook klaar voor – voor nieuwe kleine avonturen. Maar het voelt nog steeds niet alsof we "boten huren". We hopen dat het meer is dan dat.
Het is een stukje van onszelf dat we mogen uitlenen – zodat je kunt voelen wat we zo vaak doen: vrijheid, verbinding en een paar uur helemaal weg van de dagelijkse beslommeringen. We hopen dat je een heerlijke tijd hebt op het water, met elkaar. Misschien om te lachen, te praten of gewoon even te genieten van de stilte. Dat is precies waar het hier om draait.
